
Over the last five decades, scientific ocean drilling has played a pivotal role in deepening our understanding of the Earth and its oceans, from their past to their future.
The project Oral Histories of Scientific Ocean Drilling aims to collect and preserve the history of seafloor exploration through the experts who have contributed to it from multiple perspectives, institutions, fields of expertise, and time periods.

THE STORY OF STRESS: An Expedition to the Epicenter
ScienceMediaNL, in collaboration with Tales of Ocean Sciences and JAMSTEC, has produced The Story of Stress, a 27 minutes documentary about the exciting research conducted through scientific ocean drilling to understand the 2011 Tohoku earthquake. Do not heasitate to watch and share!
